An undeniable best-seller from the Flexform collection, Groundpiece has transformed the very concept of the sofa, introducing several innovations. First of all, it is a deconstructed line with new proportions – the Groundpiece sofa is low and deep, designed as a more relaxed and casual approach to seating. Groundpiece embodies the quintessence of Flexform comfort and is exceptionally inviting, thanks to the amply-sized goose-down cushions. Groundpiece also allows for the utmost personalization of the padded elements that can be crafted in goose down, in the premium version, or in Dacron.

Aware that changes in lifestyle spark new behaviors and needs, Groundpiece introduced a new dimension to the way the sofa is used, investing it with new functions. On today’s sofas, people rest, watch TV, read, and often work and even have dinner.

This also led to the brilliant idea of redesigning the armrest concept, which in Groundpiece can either be padded and upholstered or a cowhide-clad metal console, that can be used as a flat surface for accessories and provided with shelves to hold objects of all kinds.

DOME PENDANTS

A nod to classical Roman architecture, the new Dome collection of pendant and table lights follows the success of Dome Nomad, an earlier collection inspired by the great domes of Venice and evoking the eternity and expansiveness of the celestial vault. The elegant shade, comprising multiple layers of molten glass, each carefully inspected by the master glassmaker prior to blowing, comes in either smooth or wavy clear glass. The gentle illumination is cast forth from a modern LED source concealed beneath an opal diffuser.

The table lights are a reference to Dome Nomad and represent an elegant interior element. The pendants, with the levity of their delicate arches, are ideal above dining tables, either in multi-light compositions, or as a solitary piece. Dome delivers a unique and charming design experience in both residential and commercial spaces.

HOLD SCONCE

An expressive glass vessel that appears to droop from its hook as if molten serves as a shade on this wall sconce. Available in two sizes. The socket is suspended from the hook on a fabric-wrapped electrical cord and is loosely suspended within the glass. A removable threaded pin within the brass hook can be used to secure the glass if required.
